Lakers Future

According to SI.com, the Lakers are sitting in sixth place to clutch a playoff spot. The only problem is that the other three teams in their conference are stacked above them including the Clippers and the Thunder.

Lakers fans’ still stay optimistic that their team will clinch a playoff spot, which I agree, but the likelihood of another championship isn’t in the cards. Their future looks like a repeat of last season where they got “
SWEPT**” in the western conference semi-finals by the Dallas Mavericks.

With not much depth among their positions and their starters not producing from either injuries or just lack of game, it is not looking good for the Lakers. The Lakers are not strong enough and too old to compete with the younger teams like the Clippers and the Thunder.

Dave McMenamin from espnla.com, predicts Kobe will be back on the court this Wednesday after facing a nose fracture during the All-Star game last weekend. Can Black Mamba bring the poison and get his team back on track?

On a more exciting note, as a Boston Celtics’ fan I found this video clip of Rajon Rondo setting up an alley-oop to Lebron James and I automatically thought how amazing it would be if these two were on the same team.
