FYF at L.A. Historic Park

... is located in the east side of Los Angeles in the Los Angeles Historic Park on August 24th and 25th. This would be the second music festival I have attended. I took the bus from my brother's house for $3.00.

This beautiful flower symbolizes
what my eye was about to
experience.

Two days of psychedelic, alternative, indie, folk, electronic, and rock music burning into your ears. The beautiful California sun soaks in as the guitar rifts penetrate the air along with marijuana fumes.

The stage and the crowd begin turn into a beach scene. The band crashes a new energy filled wave onto the sandy beach of enthusiasts.

Micheladas for hydration

I head towards either side of the stage and then patiently make my way towards the center. This is the most effective way to get to the very front without pissing off a lot of people.

Once inside I headed to the Charlotte stage. The four stages were named after the characters in Sex and the City. I don't see the motivation behind this, but I can confirm that the Samantha stage was the techno tent where everyone was getting naughty. FYI, never made it to the Miranda stage.

RAGE DAY.

TY Seagall. Toro Y Moi. Devendra Banhart. TV On The Radio. Yeah Yeah Yeahs!!!

Toro Y Moi, killing it with style and swag.

Dear Devendra Barnhart,
Not only did you rock my night by serenading us with Spanish but you turned out to be my favorite discovery of the entire weekend.

Well YYY, you were what I have been waiting for since March when an Aussie passed me your album. I kept that shit on repeat for months and now I got to hear it out live. It was more than I expected. You guys rocked like it was your last show. I could not stop dancing and screaming out the lyrics. The people I was around felt the same too. All I can say is you made me feel 100 % ALIVE

CHILLSY.

Poolside. No Age. Yo La Tengo. Flume. Beachhouse. Washed Out. MGMT. My Bloody Valentine.

Flume, you sexy DJ. It was nice seeing it EXPLODE :)

Washed Out.

Beachhouse & MGMT
I loved you both!! I swayed into the darkness around me until I was dizzy. Trippy is all I can say loves. Visuals took you there but the music sky rocketed you outer space.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE was good but HOLY GHOST! was where it was at to close out the festival.
